Michael Collins Blackthorn Shillelagh photography print study
Michael Collins’s Blackthorn Shillelagh was given to John Nesfield by Michael Collins’ niece as a token of her gratitude for his treatment of her sometime after WW2.
John Nesfield was the son of the famous Dr Vincent Nesfield, who discovered water chlorination whilst working as an army doctor in India. The shillelagh was auctioned in 2022 and went to an anonymous buyer in the USA.
